The Solon Campus is seeking an LPN Nursing Program Coordinator for our Evening LPN program.

  • Assist the LPN Nursing Program Director (NPD), in his/her management of programs.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of assigned fields.

  • Participate in curriculum monitoring and development process.

  • Assist in organizing and monitoring subject-specific campus-wide initiatives and activities.

  • Assist in the collection and review of beginning- and end-of-term paperwork for purposes of quality assurance and accuracy. Follow up with coaching as needed for continual improvement.

  • Assist in the coordination and submission of Course Review materials and complete follow-up meetings with faculty.

  • Participate through recommendations to the campus library committee in library collection development to support program content and assist subject-area faculty in the use of scholarly works in course material and/or assignments.

  • Assist the NPD (1) providing recommendations to the management team vis-à-vis the upkeep and purchase of subject-specific hardware and software and (2) safeguarding subject-area materials, records, and equipment.

  • Utilize intervention strategies to assist students in achieving maximum benefit from their educational experience.

  • Participate in campus-based and community related activities as a representative of subject-area leadership and the College.

  • Assist the NPD in acquiring sites for clinical for all courses and the internship instructor in performing site visits.

  • Assist the NPD in arranging clinical schedules at the facilities.

  1. Support the NPD in his/her managing of subject-area instructors.
  • Assist in ensuring that all subject-area instructors adhere to all required administrative and classroom delivery duties and requirements as outlined in the job description for Instructional Associates.
  1. Assist the NPD in on-going faculty development and faculty development planning and delivery.
  • Assist NPD in providing on-going development opportunities for subject-area instructors to aid in their continuous improvement and growth.

  • Perform developmental classroom observations, facilitate pre- and post-observation discussions, and collaborate with faculty in creation of developmental plans. Report results to and finalize action plans with the NPD.

  • Assist the NPD in providing instructional delivery and methodology training.

  • Assist the NPD in providing subject-specific training for instructors on an as-needed basis to communicate changes in instructional emphases, curriculum, technology, etc.

  • Adhere to and uphold all established operational policies and procedures.

  • Assist the NPD in the accurate completion and submission of all government and accrediting agency report.

  1. Follow the requirements for the State Nursing Board.

Requirements:

  • Strong time management, problem solving, conflict management, cultural diversity, analytic, adaptability, and creativity skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

Qualifications include:

  • Experience for at least five years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse, two of which have been as a faculty member in a registered nursing education program

  • Ohio Nursing Board requires at least two years as a faculty member in a registered nursing education program

  • Master's of Science in Nursing

  • Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio
