Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for accurately following written instructions to cut rolls of material. Needs to inspect the fabric for defects and ensure the proper distance between stripes being cut. Employees will utilize knife-edge cutters to cut the fabric into precise pieces for sewing operations.

• Set cutting blades to specifications to cut rolls of fabric accordingly
• Maintain detailed written records of all jobs and fabric usage
• Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
• Math, geometry, accurate measuring
• Ability to assist the sewing department when needed
• Ensure cuts are engineered properly per order specifications
• Maintain cutting equipment in good working order
• Monitors machine operation to detect problems or malfunction
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance;
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift approximately less than 25-50 lbs.
• Able to push, pull and twist large rolls of fabric from pallet to the cutting station
• Must be able to see small objects to check measurements.
• Must have good hand, foot, and eye coordination.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: \$13.00 - \$16.00 per hour
