Program Summary

KBR proudly serves as the performance-based contractor for Base Operations Services at the Aegis Ashore Missile Defence System in Naval Support Facility (NSF) Redzikowo, Poland. This program focuses on the deployment and operational management of the sophisticated Aegis system, designed to intercept, and neutralize short- and medium-range ballistic missiles. Our primary mission is to ensure seamless base operations, directly enhancing strategic defence capabilities.

NSF Redzikowo, housing the second Aegis Ashore system, plays a crucial role in NATO's defence against missile threats. Commissioned in September, the facility emphasizes our commitment to supporting key military infrastructures. Its strategic location northwest of Warsaw, near the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, positions it strategically in European defence.

Our involvement in NSF Redzikowo includes comprehensive Base Operations Services, showcasing KBR's expertise in managing complex military facilities. The base incorporates essential infrastructure, such as administrative offices, housing, dining facilities, security buildings, and athletic facilities—all maintained to the highest standards.

Job Summary

Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures and equipment, including pipes, valves, water systems, drains, basins, tubs, faucets, showers, and more. Conduct maintenance by replacing defective washers, mending broken pipes, and lubricating sewage equipment using hand and power tools. Assemble and install pipes and fittings, utilizing various tools and techniques. Utilize measuring instruments to mark pipe positions and cut, thread, and bend pipes as needed. Test pipes for leaks and observe pressure gauges. Assist HVAC technician with Boiler Preventative Maintenance. Manage inventory of plumbing materials, research new technology, and purchase required parts. Perform planned preventative maintenance, maintain data using MS Word or Excel, and communicate via email using MS Outlook. Operate Building Automation Controls (BAC) Systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and replace various plumbing fixtures and equipment, including pipes, valves, water systems, drainage, waste and vents, basins, tubs, faucets, showers, grease traps, lavatories, sinks, traps, flush meters, urinals, drinking fountains, hydrants, water heaters, dishwashers, backflow devices, and water pressure regulators.

  • Conduct plumbing repairs and maintenance by replacing defective washers, mending broken pipes, and addressing plumbing issues.

  • Maintain, repair, and lubricate sewage equipment using both hand tools and power tools.

  • Manage sewage lines, tanks, floats, pumps, and valves through regular maintenance and repair.

  • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using screws, bolts, solder, plastic solvent, and caulking.

  • Utilize measuring instruments, such as rulers and levels, to locate and mark pipe positions for installation and passage holes in structures.

  • Cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required angle using pipe cutters, threading machines, and bending machines.

  • Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.

  • Assist HVAC technicians with Boiler Preventative Maintenance work.

  • Manage inventory of readily available plumbing materials, spare parts, and replacements.

  • Stay informed about new technology and the latest equipment availability in the plumbing field.

  • Identify and purchase required parts and supplies for plumbing projects.

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance work on plumbing systems.

  • Maintain maintenance data on shared drive files using MS Word or Excel.

  • Communicate via email using MS Outlook.

  • Operate Building Automation Controls (BAC) Systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizenship

  • Must be fluent in English

  • Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

  • Must possess driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity

  • Must possess security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain.

  • Documented trade experience and training

  • Qualified at the Master level.

  • Valid Plumber’s License

  • Must have Backflow prevention License

Preferred Qualifications

  • NAVFAC Experience
