Program Summary

KBR proudly serves as the performance-based contractor for Base Operations Services at the Aegis Ashore Missile Defence System in Naval Support Facility (NSF) Redzikowo, Poland. This program focuses on the deployment and operational management of the sophisticated Aegis system, designed to intercept, and neutralize short- and medium-range ballistic missiles. Our primary mission is to ensure seamless base operations, directly enhancing strategic defence capabilities.

NSF Redzikowo, housing the second Aegis Ashore system, plays a crucial role in NATO's defence against missile threats. Commissioned in September, the facility emphasizes our commitment to supporting key military infrastructures. Its strategic location northwest of Warsaw, near the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, positions it strategically in European defence.

Our involvement in NSF Redzikowo includes comprehensive Base Operations Services, showcasing KBR's expertise in managing complex military facilities. The base incorporates essential infrastructure, such as administrative offices, housing, dining facilities, security buildings, and athletic facilities—all maintained to the highest standards.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Foreman or General Foreman, the incumbent receives assignments and directions, interpreting instructions and procedures. The individual is responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing environmental control systems. In addition, this role involves providing leadership, instruction, and guidance to lower-level craftsmen, as well as the potential reassignment of delegated work from the supervisor.

As directed, the incumbent will perform additional duties and activities to contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper maintenance of tools and equipment.

  • Engage in various clean-up and housekeeping activities as required.

  • Adhere strictly to safety rules and procedures.

  • Utilize necessary personal safety equipment during work.

  • Maintain meticulous records related to the position's activities.

  • Lift and move heavy units as part of the job responsibilities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizenship

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English language.

  • Active Secret Security clearance or the ability to obtain.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HVAC mechanic

  • Journeyman-level qualification

  • EPA certified.

  • Proficiency in refrigeration and air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and structural layout.

  • In-depth knowledge of heating and cooling units, refrigerators, and freezers.

  • Demonstrated expertise in wiring, motors, pumps, switches, lights, fans, and thermostats.

  • Experience in maintaining various systems, including window A/C units, split type A/C units, VRF, reefers, commercial refrigerators and freezers, ice makers, and large commercial Air Conditioning plants and Chillers, Air Handling Units 50/60Hz.

  • Documented trade experience and training.
