We are now recruiting a Site Services Maintenance Engineer to join our Site Engineering Services (SES) team at our Ballytivnan site in Sligo.

As our new Site Services Maintenance Engineer you will support the plant in all aspects of facility engineering, including technology application, process design, equipment & amp; facility design/operation/maintenance, cGMP environments, HVAC systems, utilities, contractor supervision, contract administration, procurement, safety, and environmental control. troubleshoot equipment problems, perform root cause analysis, identify and implement corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a Site Engineering service to the plant, in order to maximise the availability of Manufacturing, Utilities and Facilities Equipment.

  • Maintain continual compliance with the policies relating to Personnel, Quality, Engineering, Safety and Finance.

  • Support the performance of day to day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing and utility equipment.

  • Assist with the management and support of manufacturing/utility/facility project plans.

  • Coordinate maintenance of manufacturing & facility equipment to required maintenance schedules.

  • Develop knowledge to become a subject matter expert on various site utilities and systems.

  • Preparation of capital expenditure requests for the facility, plant and equipment.

  • Develops monthly engineering metrics for operations, utilities, and facilities which includes ownership of Site Maintenance Excellence Program to drive operational improvements including implementing cost savings.

  • Represent department agency, external, divisional and corporate audits & promote successful outcomes.

  • Cross-train within the department to ensure appropriate preventive maintenance schedules are achieved.

  • Implementation of equipment/process upgrades in an environment of continuous improvement.

  • Ensure the effective management of appropriate internal and external plant projects.

  • Implementation of all relevant policies relating to Quality, Engineering & Safety.

  • Supervise external contractors which include the development of performance metrics for third party service providers of site services.

  • Comply with the EHS policy and procedures and demonstrate EHS best practices in all work activities

Qualifications

Education/Technical

  • Bachelor’s Degree (L8): Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, Electronics) or Relevant Discipline. Membership of the Engineers Ireland is beneficial.

  • 3+Years’ experience in Facility and Utility Engineering, preferably in a cGMP environment.

  • Experience in a number of the below area’s Electrical infrastructure, distribution, Emergency power UPS/RUPS & Backup generation. Plant steam generation & distribution, LPHW generation & distribution, Chilled Water and Potable Water Distribution, Compressed Air Generation & distribution, Air Handling Units, Wastewater treatment, Building Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, Cleanroom facilities and Building Safety Systems.

  • Track record of implementing best practice Engineering standards & building regulations.

  • High levels of concentration and attention to detail

  • Ability to analyse information and formulate proposals.

  • Proven track record in developing and implementing innovative solutions.

  • Results-driven, experienced in creating a positive work environment with enthusiasm and flair for generating new and innovative engineering solutions.

  • Comfortable using IT applications including MS Word, Excel etc.
