Slidell Memorial Hospital PET/CT Scan Technologist - SMH Imaging Center in Slidell, Louisiana
The PET/CT Technologist provides health care services, applying radioactive isotopes and CT to assist in diagnosis or treatment of human disorders. Performs nuclear medicine procedures and CT and related functions, producing images for the interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgement in performance of services demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Adheres to department and organizational policies and procedures.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital’s strategic goals.
Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization.
Communicates effectively with team members, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
Provides patients and family members with information as appropriate.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Required: Demonstrated skills sufficient to successfully function within the position.
Required: NMTCB with previous PET/CT experience preferred.
Required: 1 year minimum
Preferred: PET/CT experience
Required: NMTCB required/ARRT
