Regeneron Pharmaceuticals VP Global Procurement – Facilities, Capital, & Logistics in Sleepy Hollow, New York

The Vice President, Global Procurement – Facilities, Capital, & Logistics (FC&L) will lead a team of 17 procurement professionals managing an annual spend of greater than $1.5 billion. The VP, FC&L will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Facilities, Capital, and Logistics categories and be accountable for establishing category strategies, developing plans to jointly drive value with business partners across Regeneron functional teams, and other cross-organizational projects, as assigned. This includes definition and assessment/strategies, contracting/budget negotiations, business-related issue resolution and governance for applicable suppliers. This individual will report to the Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer and work closely with the Global Procurement Leadership Team and executive stakeholders across Regeneron to achieve efficiency and maturity across assigned priorities. These priorities will include supplier strategy to support Regeneron’s continued expansion. The role will develop, retain, and recruit a team to drive short-term priorities and the long-term vision to support stakeholder priorities.

As the VP, FC&L, a typical day might include:

  • Influencing senior stakeholders and leveraging critical thinking, to develop strategic improvements to achieve Regeneron priorities.

  • Driving key organizational decisions in the FC&L categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of the organization and company.

  • As a member of the Global Procurement leadership team proactively takes ownership of improving ways of working, processes, policies, and engagement/cultural priorities, as assigned.

  • Leads critical negotiations and customer engagement and/or participates in company-wide projects representing supplier, sourcing, contracting, and supplier management activities.

  • Demonstrates strong in-depth knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.

  • Operates with integrity, focus, clarity, and good judgement in an environment of ambiguity to inspire change.

This job may be for you if you have the following:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study with 20+ years of experience in relevant functions/industries, demonstrating growth in experience, scale, and development throughout. Additionally, an advanced degree and/or certification in a relevant field/function would be highly valuable to a potential candidate.

  • Experience successfully leading global teams, processes, and suppliers across an enterprise function within a multi-national biopharmaceutical organization will be a critical enabler of success for the incumbent.

  • Demonstrated success driving results in FC&L categories or related categories through effective engagement with enterprise-level supplier representatives and executive stakeholders.

  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams to drive significant value through critical supplier engagement activities including contract negotiations, supply selection, supply disruption, and supplier relationship management.

  • Expert insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.

  • Depth of experience leading teams to source FC&L categories for multinational firms in compliance with GMP and GLP regulations.

Salary Range (annually)

$300,000.00 - $500,000.00
