Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director of Accounting, situated in SLC, Utah. This role plays a pivotal part in the financial operations and management of our hospitality business. You will handle the accounting tasks for multiple hotel properties, team up with the Director of Accounting in managing the financial activities, and concentrate on accurate financial reporting and process enhancement.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safeguarding of assets and financial integrity by establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust internal controls.

• Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to boost efficiency.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize financial systems and workflows.

• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and address audit findings.

• Act as a bridge between property-level teams and the Director of Accounting.

• Oversee all financial transactions and the accounting operations for assigned hotels, including managing the month-end and year-end close process.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and USALI industry standards.

• Analyze financial results, investigate variances to pinpoint trends, and provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance across properties.

• Assist the Director of Accounting in consolidating and analyzing financial data from various properties.

• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing projections and analysis to aid in decision-making.

• Stay updated with industry best practices and recommend process enhancements.

• Support the Director of Accounting in special projects and initiatives. Requirements • The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting leadership role.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must for streamlined financial management.

• The prospective Assistant Director of Accounting should be adept in using ADP - Financial Services for payroll and HR services.

• Familiarity with Concur expense management solutions will be a considerable advantage.

• The ability to generate, read, and interpret Crystal Reports is necessary.

• Knowledge of Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance is required.

• Comprehensive understanding of all accounting functions is essential.

• The candidate should be well-versed in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Auditing experience is crucial for maintaining financial accuracy and integrity.

• The candidate should be capable of handling all billing functions efficiently.
