Operational Excellence Engineer

This position reports into Manufacturing Excellence/PMO Lead and is based at Helsingborg, Sweden.

This position is a 6 month fixed term contract, due an exciting Continuous Improvement Program at our Helsingborg production site.

What you will do

The Operational Excellence Engineer will support to implement and sustain best in class process standards and KPIs in pursuit of world class manufacturing. You will execute the regional Kenvue Operational Excellence (KOE) roadmap including areas of focus in overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), cycle time improvement, waste reduction and performance management. You will also train team members in process improvement methodologies and work in partnership with internal and external supply chain and logistics partners to drive E2E process improvements:

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Make Excellence team with data collection and analysis for process improvement projects and programs.

• Form part of the core team for regional and global continuous improvement initiatives and programs.

• Support with performance management data collection and KPI development.

• Learn and help implement basic steps of continuous improvement initiatives.

• Help document processes and procedures as well as develop standard work.

• Work close to the shopfloor interacting with operators and technicians to understand and identify improvement opportunities. Own, lead and execute these opportunities and share successes.

• Be a quick learner, eager to soak up knowledge and best practices from the team.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• OR a minimum of 1 year of experience in a role that demonstrates hands on improvement, working with projects and working in a team.

• A curious mind and a willingness to learn.

• Strong attention to detail and a knack for problem-solving.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in basic computer programs like Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Any prior experience with process improvement

• Familiarity with basic Lean Six Sigma concepts (like the DMAIC cycle).
