Pay: $166,000 - $225,000
What you will do
The Associate Director, Clinical Science serves as a clinical strategy lead for NPD and clinical programs in all phases of product development. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate innovation opportunities within their assigned need states and works with cross-functional project teams. This position will be responsible for representing clinical strategies during health authority interactions and negotiations in support of NPD for their assigned need states. In collaboration with clinical operations and in compliance with department, Company, and regulatory standards, this position will be responsible for the planning, design, directing, and reporting of clinical studies for their assigned Need State(s). This role involves extensive cross-functional and global/cross-regional team matrix interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Serves as Clinical lead on cross-functional NPD project teams in assigned Need States.
Responsible for designing clinical development programs in support of NPD and phase 4 claims program regulatory approvals and/or claims support.
Represents clinical strategies at health authority interactions and negotiations in support of NPD for their assigned need states.
Develops and maintains credible relationships with scientific leaders and clinical consultants.
Helps to shape the overall clinical/research strategy/claims substantiation in assigned need states by evaluating global innovation and NPD opportunities.
Provides clinical and claims support to business and competitive intelligence activities for assigned need states
Manages direct reports as appropriate
Identifies, prioritizes, allocates appropriate resources and oversees progress across projects to achieve organizational objectives.
Significantly improves or develops new business/work processes to share knowledge, build intellectual capital, build strategic capabilities, and promote innovation throughout the organization.
Creates cross discipline or department forums to enable sharing of breakthrough insights and helps groups to interact and explore adjacent fields, creating opportunities for breakthroughs and creative ideas.
Drives a culture of compliance with safety procedures.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering or Pharmacy is required. Masters or Doctorate (PHD) or Equivalent is a differential
10 years of experience in clinical strategy in OTC
Proved capability to communicate clearly and influence at senior levels of the organization
Has partnered with internal/external resources to drive innovation
Demonstrated success in working cross functionally and in a matrixed organization
Develop and implement clinical strategies to accelerate the development of Self Care/OTC products and enhance communication of product benefits.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal and external scientific partners to advance deep scientific and clinical knowledge in pipeline
Managers clinical budget, in collaboration with partners, & resource allocation to meet business needs
Drive talent management agenda in the team through regular discussions on talent development plans, org designs, succession planning, retention, capabilities - ensure key org merits are met (pipeline health, retention, succession plan, DEI)
What's in it for you
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $166,000 - $225,000 . This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
