Senior Systems Engineer
KBR , supporting the MFLEETS program, is seeking a Senior level Systems Engineer.
The MFLEETS Program supports the evidence capture, archive, and retrieval for Federal Public Safety Missions. The engineer will, under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, assist in the design, development, and implementation of the KBR VAAULT product suite by working with the KBR VAAULT team and by working individually to:
Perform Systems Engineering work to gather requirements, understand and explain requirement conflicts and enter the resulting requirements into the Jira tool
Perform Systems Analysis on existing and proposed designs to validate their conformance to customer, market, marketability, and other relevant requirements
Discover and document engineering and security processes and enter into the Jira tool
Lead and attend group planning, discovery, compliance, and reporting meetings (predominately on-line, some in Fairfax, perhaps some remote travel) with KBR, Partner and potential vendor and partner representatives
Develop and document IT Architecture artifacts describing KBR Capabilities, Offerings, and Products
Document and train technical and operation staff on new requirements, processes, and facilities such as discovered above
Perform other related duties as assigned.
BS/MS in Systems Engineering or BS in technal field with SE Coursework leading to SE degree.
5 years relative experience with MS/ME
8 years relative experience with with BS
Requirements gathering and analysis
Definition and documentation of policies and processes
Safety & usability analysis
DODAF or similar Architecture documentation standards
Familiarity with handling of sensitive information
Primary location is in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Long-term Work from Home may be an option for the right candidate. Currently all team members are working from home due to the pandemic.
Candidates must have strong technical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a teamwork emphasis. Candidates must also be able to integrate into a highly-skilled Information Technology Team.
