Practice Details

Sanford Children’s Hospital and the University of South Dakota School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Intensivist to join 5.5 intensivists in a 12-bed, state-of-the-art PICU.

• Clinical services include a multidisciplinary PICU and a sedation program.

• Children's Hospital PICU admissions average 785 per year and is founded on collegiality and mutual support.

• Sanford Children's Hospital provides a wide breadth of pediatric medical and surgical services including ECMO.

• Pediatric ICU physicians are involved with the Sanford Pediatric Residency Program. They have an active role in teaching pediatric residents and medical students.

• The unit resides in Sanford Children’s Hospital with a total of 146 beds and is the only free-standing children's hospital in the state.

• The pediatric transport team is an active part of the medical practice and is served by helicopter, fixed wing, and ground transport.

• Level I Certified Adult & Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with comprehensive pediatric multi specialty support.

• More than 35 Children's sub-specialties are represented in our Children’s Hospital.
