Robert Half Controller in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This role will involve overseeing the company's accounting operations, including supervising accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processes. The Controller will also be responsible for the development and growth of the accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the establishment and implementation of an efficient accounting system, incorporating procedures and guidelines to minimize risk and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

• Supervise the production of necessary reports, ensuring they align with accounting principles and guidelines.

• Collaborate with auditors and provide required information as requested, including the production of annual reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

• Conduct financial performance reviews, managing the accounting budget and system to reduce risk.

• Provide financial analysis focusing on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations as required.

• Lead the accounting team, delivering annual performance evaluations and providing necessary guidance and leadership.

• Initiate discussions with employees when discipline is required.

• Oversee the accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processes.

• Ensure knowledge of multi-state tax configuration and auditing processes for week, month, and year-end.

• Facilitate the growth and development of the accounting team.

Skills:

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services

• Well-versed in Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experienced in Auditing, Budget Processes, Internal Control, and Internal Control Review

• Knowledgeable with US GAAP and GAAP Accounting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in Auditing

• In-depth knowledge of Budget Processes

• Ability to establish and maintain Internal Controls

• Experience in Internal Control Review

• Familiarity with US GAAP and GAAP Accounting

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Willingness to continuously update skills and knowledge in the field of accounting.
