Job Summary

The Contract Administrator is responsible for coordinating, drafting, reviewing and administering contractual agreements between Avera and suppliers for products, services, and equipment for Avera affiliates participating in the Avera PACE Group Purchasing Organization, (“GPO”). This specifically includes:

  1. Ensuring accurate execution and administration of all contracts in an effort to successfully meet the business needs and interests of Avera.

  2. Responsible for oversight and management of contracts as it relates to the legal and negotiated business terms and conditions, bid evaluations, and researching appropriate regulations to ensure risk mitigation.

  3. Provide operational support for the implementation of the contract and will remain a resource and Avera subject matter expert through the term of the contract for PACE and PACE affiliates. The Contract Administrator must be knowledgeable of the nuances of benefits of the contracts and potential disadvantages as it relates to types of contracts and effective procurement and partnership proposals.

  4. Has responsibility of the contract(s) through the term of the contract, and facilitates appropriate action upon renewal opportunities, expiration, amendments, or termination notification.

  5. The Contract Administrator will work directly with the PACE department, Category Sourcing Administrators (CSA), contract owner, and/or other others within the organization to effectively capture business terms and optimal conditions within the language of the contract prior to execution.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or six years related experience. A comparable combination of education and appropriate experience may be substituted.

  • Demonstrated record of contract experience is preferred.

  • Experience with GPOs, Healthcare Supply Chain, or Healthcare contracting preferred.

Work Schedule

  • 8:00am-5:00pm, occas wknd; 80hrs/2wks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $26.25 - $39.50 per hour
