Job Summary

A one-year experiential learning opportunity for recently trained Master’s prepared graduate providing broad exposure to regional and rural healthcare settings including acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinic management, and health systems development. The fellow will spend a minimum of one week working in and with Avera’s regional hospital Administrative Councils, will participate in meetings of the Board and its committees, medical staff committees, administrative staff, and selected System committees. The fellow will be responsible for the completion of assigned projects, and for rotating through System facilities.

Education and/or Experience

  • Master’s degree in Health Services, Hospital Administration or Business Administration with a healthcare emphasis or Public Health is required.

  • This program begins in July 2025 and is intended for new graduates. To be eligible for this program, applicant must have completed an accredited program and be no more than 12 months post-graduation to apply.

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
