We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing strategic procurement activities for the provision of Integrated Facilities Management related goods and services across APAC locations. Your primary objective will be to optimize the number of vendors, build strong supply chain partner relationships, leverage purchasing power, and monitor and improve compliance and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing a robust governance model.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and agree upon procurement strategy and objectives for successful delivery of the procurement phase
Integrate with cross-functional teams to conduct procurement events (RFIs and RFPs) in accordance with industry practices and internal requirements, including drafting RFx questionnaires, conducting vendor due diligence, evaluating responses, and negotiating contracts
Ensure vendor compliance with CBRE's vendor registration program
Provide recommendations to senior management on the selection and appointment of qualified service providers
Prepare and manage contracts with selected service providers, ensuring appropriate commercial and contractual terms and conditions, including SLAs and KPIs
Manage contract execution and storage
Negotiate appropriate contractual terms within a defined framework
Identify potential risks, implement key controls, and ensure contract adherence to meet performance and risk objectives
Prepare and present materials to educate and seek support for strategy and recommended actions to both CBRE and clients
Perform additional job duties as requested
Work within CBRE and Client supply chain processes
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent industry experience
Membership and/or participation in a professional procurement organization preferred
Experience in drafting detailed scopes of services
Experience in conducting RFI/RFPs to procure Facilities services
Experience in a commercial, contractual, or operational position managing outsourced providers against contractual obligations
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven track record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
Strong written, presentation, and communication skills
Experience in planning and managing remediation of vendor underperformance
Experience producing vendor reporting for senior management
Self-starter with the ability to motivate others
Ability to engage at all levels of an organization, including C-suite
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of the commercial real estate industry, including property management and/or project management
Exposure to working across APAC locations and cultures
Exposure to and understanding of legal frameworks and contract law
Experience with MS Office suite of applications and Outlook
Experience with electronic Procurement applications such as Ariba, GEP, Zycus, or similar
Ability to speak additional regional language (Mandarin, Japanese, Korean) a plus.
