Abbott New Business Manager (Diabetes Care) in Singapore, Singapore

Primary Function:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities, build relationships with potential clients and drive revenue growth for Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) products in Singapore

  • Targeted businesses include but not limited to corporations, insurance and healthcare providers

  • Innovate and oversee the entire sales process with new and existing customers, owning the sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation.

  • Develop and deliver pitches and presentations to potential new clients, customized for each client’s specific business needs

Major Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities by leveraging network, conducting market research, and prospecting potential clients.

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs, and presenting our products/services as solutions.

  • Lead negotiations with clients, including pricing, terms, and contractual agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes while adhering to company policies and objectives.

  • Manage virtual and in-person sales meetings

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prepare regular sales reports, and provide accurate sales forecasts to the management team.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, it, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and maximize client satisfaction.

  • Ensure that all business activities are conducted in accordance with Abbott Code of Ethics and local government laws,

  • Work closely with Area Office to ensure local Regulatory and Quality requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Science/Business or related disciplines

  • Min 6 to 8 years of demonstrated a track record in sales/business development role, preferably in medical devices or pharmaceutical industry

  • Exceptional prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills, with a focus on consistently exceeding sales targets.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey value propositions, negotiate contracts, and build rapport with clients.

  • Strong analytical and project management skills

  • Demonstrated persistence in seeing through the process and achieving the final outcomes

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Knowledge & experience in diabetes category will be advantageous
