Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a Product Support Territory Manager, Electric Power in Singapore. The position ensures our customers get the most value from our products and services by working with our Caterpillar Dealers and providing technical support for Caterpillar Electric Power Products (Diesel Engine driven generator sets, Rental Packages and complete Power Generation Solutions including Hybrid). The incumbent will also support the development of the Dealer’s the Product Support capabilities for the Electric Power Business.

What You Will Do: ​

  • Support Dealers in addressing Customer technical issues.

  • Work with Dealer to find commercial settlements when Customers are requiring support beyond standard warranty.

  • Develop Dealer technical capabilities in servicing and troubleshooting Electric Power products in collaboration with and leveraging Caterpillar’s Distribution Services Division (DSD)

  • Drive Aftermarket growth leveraging the following metrics: Services touchpoints, Population Accuracy and EDSR Completion.

  • Support EPD Aftermarket Teams in the development of Dealer Parts & Service Sales capabilities

  • Ensure that Customer Experience is effectively communicated to the Caterpillar Product Groups (Product Design, Production and After Sales Services Development)

  • Proactive participation in Regional and Global internal events such as Technical Conferences, Dealer Commercial Conferences, Sales and Technical Training Seminars as well as external events such as Regional and Global Trade Shows, Conferences and Customer related events

The incumbent’s key objectives will be:

  • Provide “Best in Class” technical support to Cat dealers

  • Assess and develop Dealer Product Support Capabilities

  • Drive Customer Loyalty

  • Support Aftermarket Services Growth (Parts, Digital, Customer Value Agreements)

What You Have:

  • Demonstrated ability to focus on the customer, working to understand their needs, recommend solutions and negotiate settlements

  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence at various levels in the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and rapport with dealers, customers and across the Caterpillar network

  • Must have the ability to work independently, managing all aspects of the Electric Power Product Support Business as well as working in conjunction with internal groups, Dealers and Customers

  • Must have the ability to resolve complicated technical problems with the support of factory specialists as and if required

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.

  • Good knowledge of electric power generation systems.

  • Excellent English capabilities are essential; other languages are a clear advantage.

  • Previous field technical or sales experience working with Dealers/Distributors.

  • Multidisciplinary skills (Sales & Marketing, Technical) are an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Good analytical and computer skills are essential.

  • Industry experience within one or more of the following industries preferred: Electric Power, Oil & Gas, Marine, Industrial OEM.

  • Considerable technical, product and service knowledge of a wide range of Electric Power Products and Systems.

Additional Info:

This territory will include dealers mainly located in South East Asia and will require travelling up to 50% of the time.
