Job Description Summary

We're seeking an FULL TIME Operations Engineer Intern to assist in day-to-day operations, technical instruction writing, and process improvement. This internship offers hands-on experience in operations management within a turbine repair context.

Job Description

Support Operations Management: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the facility, including scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management, to ensure efficient and smooth workflow.

Support Technical Instruction Writing: Assist in the development and refinement of technical instructions for gas turbine repairs, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards.

Collaborate with Engineering Team: Work closely with our engineering team to understand repair processes and procedures, gathering relevant information to inform technical instruction writing.

Document Management: Organize and maintain a repository of technical documents, ensuring accessibility and version control for all relevant stakeholders.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement within the operations department, proposing actionable solutions to streamline workflows.

Quality Assurance: Assist in quality assurance activities, conducting inspections and audits to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.

Data Analysis: Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, providing insights to inform decision-making processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety within the facility and actively contributing to the maintenance of a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in interpreting technical documentation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior internship or relevant work experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Passion for learning and a proactive attitude towards professional development.
