OVERVIEW

The Newsletter Editor will help develop and execute CNBC International’s newsletter strategy.

A confident newsletter curator, the Newsletter Editor will support the international Digital Managing Editor to develop a slate of newsletters, write & edit newsletters, and create a playbook for growing our pool of newsletter subscribers.

You will work in close collaboration with newsrooms in Singapore and London as well as social media, strategy & marketing teams. The ideal candidate will be passionate about newsletters, adept at using data to inform editorial decisions, and communicating opportunities to internal stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a roster of newsletters through optimizing existing newsletters and developing new newsletters

  • Curate, write and edit newsletters on a daily basis

  • Work closely with editors and reporters to curate original reporting into newsletters

  • Grow CNBC International’s newsletter subscriber base through the use of data and collaborating with social media and marketing teams to promote our newsletters

  • Track the performance of our newsletters and communicate findings to newsroom leaders on a regular basis

  • Opportunity to write news and analysis pieces for CNBC.com, if requested

  • Opportunity to act as a CNBC.com copy editor, if requested

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in curating or editing newsletters

  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial markets, business, geopolitical and economic news

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams across multiple time zones in multiple countries

  • Capability to handle short and flexible deadlines, as well as work in a face-paced environment

  • Good understanding of the role of digital and social media as well as familiarity with using analytics software

  • Prior experience in journalism or digital marketing in a news environment

  • High standard of written English
