JOB SUMMARY:

Perform Line Maintenance work on Aircraft In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) systems and other aircraft equipment to ensure the serviceability and functionality of the system to ensure passenger experience is not affected. Carry out systems troubleshooting using PL 500 / PL 1500 / PL 2000 / PL 3000 / PL 3500, electronic theories, and test equipment. Remove and replace Line Replaceable Unit (LRU), Seat End, Head End in accordance with the Authority Regulations, policies, and procedures. Complete all administrative duties associated with the maintenance actions performed.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Description:

IFEC and Aircraft Systems Maintenance:

  • Performing maintenance tasks, which include component replacement, adjustments, inspections, functional tests, and its certification, which includes but is not limited to removing and replace components in accordance with all applicable documentation (AMM).

  • Troubleshoot system failures down to Line Replaceable Units (LRU), head-end, seat-end, cabling, harnesses, or any other aircraft systems and perform functional tests post rectification.

  • Perform Cabin Sweep in accordance with Panasonic LMPs and revert findings.

  • Perform Built-in test equipment (BITE) and manual test.

  • Assist Software and Media Loading.

  • Assist MAFs.

  • Clean components and equipment racks if applicable in accordance with Maintenance Service Agreement.

  • Complete aircraft documentation in accordance with customer-specific requirements.

  • Ensure timely escalation and coordination and be in close contact with the Lead or Supervisor for any issues encountered when performing the assigned task at the aircraft.

  • Perform work in accordance with SAR 145 requirements and ensure safety is the utmost priority.

  • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by the Lead or Supervisor.

Administrative:

  • Assist in the management of airside inventory, cycle counting, and toolbox inventory.

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health, and safety.

  • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor or Management.

Qualifications

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have at least a Higher Nitec /ITE/ Diploma/ Degree in Engineering/ Electronics Technology/ Aerospace Technology or equivalent.

  • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

  • 1-year experience on the Panasonic IFEC systems.

  • Must have worked on aircraft in the last 2 years.

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to meet the requirements of the airport authority for access and vehicle operation on their premises.

KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and to comprehend and follow verbal instructions.

  • Able to receive detailed work instructions and deliver accordingly.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all functions and levels; Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal.

  • Essential Aircraft maintenance experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Basic computer skills in using Linux.

  • Knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting generally acquired through commercial aviation, military experience, or technical school education combined with one or two years of related industry experience.

  • Determines methods and procedures for new assignments.

  • Understands the implications of work and make recommendations for solutions.

  • Manual dexterity to grasp and work with tool parts and equipment.

KEY REQUIRE CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Ability to climb and work from a ladder or platform and endure sitting, standing, bending, or twisting for extended periods and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to operate under extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces for extended periods.

  • Ability to cope with environmental conditions, including congestion exposure and varying noise levels.

  • Works on problems of moderate to diverse scope requiring considerable judgment and initiative.

  • Great attention to detail, a critical thinker with a good problem -solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, be assertive, self-driven, and able to work well in a team setting.

  • Able to work effectively under challenging and tight timelines, well organized, and strategically prioritizes work to complete tasks on hand.

  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.
