Citigroup Futures & Derivatives Clearing Product Manager - Director in Singapore, Singapore
The Product Management Team is responsible for overseeing clearing platforms in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, India and Australia. The team is responsible for setting strategy, budgeting, product development prioritization and ensuring that the business meets and exceeds returns on risk and regulatory capital. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of client selection, product plans, strategies, and tactics while providing direction and leadership to the APAC clearing team.
The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the strategic direction of clearing in APAC by developing new markets, increasing share of market wallet, building differentiators and driving market share.
Responsibilities:
Manage the clearing platform across Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, India and Australia including management of people, budget, and product development prioritization
Partner with other global, regional, and country leaders to share best practices and drive business strategies, solutions, and client centric solutions to differentiate Citi in the marketplace and achieve growth targets for the business
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Negotiate and make decisions on issues/activities having critical impact/influence on company revenues, capital, or business operations
Utilize product specialty knowledge to review, analyze, and develop solutions to advance the business
Develop plans and execute functional strategies for the APAC region, requiring coordination and integration across units, as well as provide input into strategic decisions impacting the global business
Ensure solid partnerships and cross selling opportunities across Equities and the broader Markets businesses
Establish and maintain relationships with Risk, In-Business Risk, Compliance, and other relevant groups within Citi, as well as develop and maintain a strong culture of risk and compliance
Engage in internal and external negotiations
Represent Citi in various engagements with external stakeholders including: CCPs, trade organizations, exchanges, and vendors
Qualifications:
15+ years of relevant experience
Good experience of clearing products, clients, risk management and regulatory concepts
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Superior problem solving skills; pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately
Ability to work well with global cross-functional teams from Sales, Credit, Risk, Operations and Technology
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
