Overview

Mastercard has a vision to build a leadership position as a truly multi-rail payments technology company. Commercial payments are a large opportunity for Mastercard in the Asia Pacific region. This role will develop and grow our commercial acceptance products and solutions for large market B2B and Travel & Entertainment, supplier payments and embedded finance technology partnerships.

The role is focused on acceptance solutions to support the development of the Go-To-Market plans for new solutions that solve the pain points of suppliers, merchants and acquirers, and drive revenue for our organization. He / she will be expected to proactively manage GTM activities as the regional product team, manage new product launches in the region, and develop new regional programs to accelerate region-wide adoption.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the B2B supplier payment process, knowledge of different payment rails. This role is for an independent contributor who can work collaboratively across teams and drive product success.

Responsibilities

• The role is focused on solutions for Commercial payment acceptance to support the development or the go-to-market plans for solutions that solve the pain points of suppliers, merchants, issuers and acquirers, and drive revenue for the organization

• Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to define a strategic roadmap.

• Proactively manage product GTM activities, work across regional and global product teams, markets, account management, sales, legal and delivery teams

• Develop sales and marketing assets for internal and external sales partners, educate and train sales and account management teams, to grow the adoption of our products and solutions

• Work closely with the global, regional and market teams to set up product constructs to drive additional revenue and faster GTM. These efforts include concept validation, business case development, and pricing strategy

• Support of the in-market commercial product teams with the required best practices, tool kits, business modelling and subject matter expertise

• Perform data analyses as needed to inform go-to-market strategy/plan, including but not limited to opportunity sizing, market prioritization, competitive benchmarking and market trends

• Monitor product performance

Requirements

• Have a minimum of five years' experience in product management, B2B accounts payable, acceptance and/or solution

• Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Concur or Microsoft Dynamics, and their integration with B2B payment solutions

• Understanding of account payable automation tools and technologies that facilitate efficient invoice processing and payment execution

• Understanding of the technical architecture behind payment systems, including data security, encryption, and compliance with industry standards (e.g. PCI-DSS).

• Familiar with financial regulations and compliance requirements, including AML/KYC/KYB, data protection, and cross-border regulations

• Ability to leverage industry knowledge to identify customer pain points and develop targeted solutions

• Analytical, problem solver with solid understanding of competitive offering, industry trends and the acceptance value chain and its constituents

• Results driven, self-starter and quick learner with ability to work independently and through ambiguity. Demonstrated consistent success working with partners across other functions in support of product go-to market strategies

• Strong communications and presentation skills, including the ability to work with people across a matrix organization at all levels

• Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or similar degree from an accredited college/university preferred
