Abbott APAC Commercial Project Lead in Singapore, Singapore

Primary Function:

  • This position is designed to lead regional Commercial Execution project management and execution support for local affiliates in APAC.

  • The primary focus will be: (1) Defining APAC commercial execution requirements according to growth potential and outcomes from regional strategic projects (2) Ensuring local commercial organization effectiveness with high quality deliverables and sustainability of processes and the operating model, and (3) Leading execution of the identified programs to deliver on the key pillars of the APAC strategy to aggressively grow the business.

  • This role is accountable for leading and implementing key initiatives in targeted affiliates as per agreed timelines and deliverables.

  • End to end project execution plan development, project management and implementation effectiveness measurement of key commercial projects in APAC EPD. The position is responsible for working with and/ or leading cross functional teams across commercial geographies.

Major Responsibilities:

APAC Strategic Project management and Implementation Support

  • Translate strategy into implementation tactics, communicate clearly and allocate responsibilities to cross functional team members.

  • Own the execution and delivery of prioritised regional projects with problem solving, tracking and resolution of bottlenecks.

  • Manage project timelines and ensure the quality of deliverables with adequate governance set up and monitoring of KPIs.

  • Identify detailed implementation plan design of strategic commercial execution initiatives for key markets, bringing in best practices and insights from internal and external sources (market, competition and other industries).

  • Proactive highlighting of any changes (including challenges and opportunities) arising from key project recommendations, with logic and insights for decision making by relevant stakeholders

  • Coordinate with relevant functions: Marketing, Finance, Sales, Commercial Excellence, Market Access, HR and other functions as needed

  • Partnership with local functional and leadership team for the alignment deliverables in a constructive manner to deliver milestones per agreed timeline.

  • Support local team’s understanding of the project background, key outcomes and KPIs and facilitate project progress with local team if required, including relevant capability and skill training

  • Play a role as APAC change agent for APAC regional transformational project communication and x-functional alignment

  • Handle at least 3-4 key projects in parallel at any time. With each project to be delivered in line with agreed timelines and outcomes (defined KPIs)

  • Provide handful supports for DVP’s strategic initiatives preparation and project management as needed

  • The individual is expected to lead cross functional teams and influence with logic, judgement and data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/ Science/Pharmacy or related disciplines

  • Minimum 5 years of consulting experience with prior experience working on commercial execution/strategy projects in pharma/healthcare clients

  • Prior experience in range of commercial functions and product launch in healthcare is advantageous

  • Track record of successfully driving strategic projects and managing cross functional teams

  • Strong project management skills

  • High quality problem solving skills, business acumen, industry knowledge

  • Strong experience with IQVIA data assets, forecasting and business case preparation

  • Highly effective communication, presentation and influencing skills

  • Ability to bring urgency to the tasks at hand

  • Ability to multitask and work within a matrix organization – engaging with a range of stakeholders

  • Being agile to new situations and new information. Taking an ‘out of the box’ approach with reference to best practices
