We are looking for a qualified and experienced Value Stream (VS) Manager to join our growing team. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of our primary switchgear projects, from planning and design to installation and commissioning, using the VSM (Value Stream Mapping) methodology.

Our UX product line is a project-based business that caters to high-profile clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the full life cycle of primary switchgear projects, from initiation to closure, using the VSM methodology.

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and ensure alignment with client expectations and business goals.

  • Coordinate internal and external resources and assign tasks and responsibilities to project team members.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.

  • Monitor and control project progress, quality, and performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Communicate project status, issues, and risks to all stakeholders, and escalate to senior management as required.

  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and testing, and ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Supervise the installation, commissioning, and handover of primary switchgear systems, and provide training and support to clients and end-users.

  • Apply the VSM tools and techniques, such as current state and future state maps, value stream metrics, value stream analysis, and value stream improvement plans, to identify and eliminate waste, optimize processes, and improve value across the entire project life cycle.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement the VSM improvement plans, and monitor and measure the results and benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, especially electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum 9 years of industry experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing primary switchgear projects.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in applying VSM methodology, tools, and techniques.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of primary switchgear systems, components, and applications

  • Familiarity with electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or ETAP

  • Ability to cope with challenging customer lead times of 18 weeks, with a worldwide spread supply base and high expectations from quality.

  • Visualize and understand the end-to-end value stream.

  • Maintain detailed documentation for audits.
