The Senior EHS Engineer is responsible for performing EATON MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety and Health) program at the site. In this role, he/she will be responsible for administrating policies and programs relating and accountable for supporting to all phases of EHS activities at his/her location(s), this includes supporting achievement of EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS performance assuring accurate and complete data, communication of regulatory requirements, supporting activities in maintaining site ISO / OSHA / Legal / Local certifications.

What you’ll do:

  • Supporting manage to site in achieving EHS targets & objectives. Directs development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.

  • Facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Works with his/her supervisor to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.

  • Works to assign MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.

  • Drives and promotes "Choose Zero Incident EHS Culture" throughout site.

  • Creates and facilitates EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.

  • Works with his/her supervisor to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.

  • Uses established EHS data processes such as MESH Prism to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.

  • Create training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience performing the requirements listed above as EHS professional in a manufacturing work environment.

  • Min B level EHS Certification

  • Proficiency in English

Skills:

  • Experience with targeting technical decision makers.

  • Proactive approach, aim for the maximum possible outcome and not only what has been agreed.
