Eaton Corporation R&D Engineering Manager Transformers in Sincan Ankara, Turkey

The TRF Engineering department consists out of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The Department takes care of all necessary Engineering activities for the operations of the Services and Solutions business, such as drawings, BOM’s, cost calculations, optimizations etc. The department also manage the Pre-Order transformer engineering engineering activities, prepare designs for customer specific and standards. The Trf Engineering department also support the SCM,Production , Sales in terms of technical and prepare technical training for CSOs and customers

Lead, manage, inspire and motivate assigned team of R&D Professionals, according to Eaton Leadership Model requirements and in line with the applicable HR policy. Own the Design Integrity of Eaton's Transformer designs in EMEA

What you’ll do:

  • Ensures compliance of transformers with applicable standards like IEC60076

  • Manage New Product Development, utilizing PROLaunch Product Development Process

  • Ensure design quality by conducting Design Reviews, and applying DFSS tools

  • Execute VAVE projects to ensure cost competiveness, Innovation, Type Testing and Homologation for End-Markets.

  • Participates in problem solving of complex technical issues

  • Collaborate within Eaton's ESS BU, Eaton Engineering Function including Pune, and with Transformer Businesses in US and APAC

  • Drive Accountability and efficiency within the department and a ‘one team culture’ to deliver the required output.

  • Define the continuous improvement in Design Processes


  • MSc or BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • 10 years of work experience in Transformer Engineering

  • Knowledge of Engineering, Calculation and Manufacturing Methods, Tools and Systems

  • Knowledge of IEC and other international standards

  • PC and installed software

  • Language capability: English language (v/w), Turkish (v/w)

  • Procedures, company rules, guidelines (national and international), law, rules & regulations, standards, safety, quality and environmental guidelines as far as applicable


  • Knowledge of problem solving methods

  • Demonstrates natural leadership qualities and a willingness to take an unpopular stand if necessary.

  • Is highly regarded as someone to look to for direction in a crisis.

  • Is highly competent in facing adversity and tough challenges head on.
