TriMas Corporation Director of Sales & Marketing in Simi Valley, California

Principal Responsibilities:

Overseas an organization’s sales and marketing programs. Develop strategic sales and marketing objectives.

Duties:

Lead cross functional teams for the onboarding of new programs.

Lead/participate in inter-company projects to advance the new business portfolio of RSA

Plan, organize, implement and control a variety of interrelated sales and marketing activities required to ensure maximum market penetration for products or capabilities of the Company.

Lead the annual planning and strategic planning under the guidance of the site General Manager

Directs the development of company marketing programs.

Responsible for assessment of existing and potential markets, product lifecycle planning, coordination of technical product development, development of product strategies, definition of promotional activities and product launch.

Contribute to all aspects of the business as a member of the Executive Team.

Plan and develop sales and marketing strategy, and review and recommend such strategy to management for consideration and acceptance.

Develop and implement tactics to carry out sales and marketing objectives through accepted strategy.

Devise, develop and implement participation in trade shows and exhibits to gain market share, new business opportunities, and understand any process or capability constraints.

Direct the preparation of proposals, technical and commercial.

Participate in contract negotiations and contract definition, and work with leadership and legal team to protect the business and ensure profitability.

Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

This position will direct any personnel in the preparation of technical literature, data sheets, etc, describing the Company’s products and capabilities through in-house or external sources.

Organize and conduct training programs and seminars for any future sales force.

Maintain current knowledge of the status of competition, analyze voice of customer and award wins and losses, and disseminate such information to appropriate areas of management.

Make pricing recommendations/decisions on products based on customer responses and reactions gleaned from field sales information.

Maintain a knowledge of governmental regulations and practices.

Stay current with potential government, commercial and industrial areas where there is possible penetration.

Coordinate activities of customer support and any other duties as assigned.

Fully support and implement any new programs that are advised by TriMas corporate team

Fully utilize the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) software

The pay scale for this position ranges from $180,000.00-$210,000.00 annually.
