Description
Quattro Consulting, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer/Scientist to support the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Northwest. Under this work, an Environmental Engineer/Scientist will independently provide support to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the execution of NAVFAC Northwest's broad and diverse mission of facilitating execution of organizational functions and specific missions. This position will provide Environmental Engineer/Scientist consultation labor support to various locations within the NAVFAC Northwest Area of Responsibility performing various tasks/services outlines below.
Responsibilities for this position may include (but are not limited to):
- Assist in the performance of environmental program management and/or project management.
- Develop and execute projects with both fixed price and cost-plus contracting delivery methods.
- Manage one or more of the environmental related programs at an installation: Drinking Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Storage Tanks, Air, Hazardous Waste, Other Environmental Liabilities, Environmental Planning, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources or Environmental Restoration.
- Manage multiple environmental projects that may be associated with the Drinking Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Storage Tanks, Air, Hazardous Waste, Other Environmental Liabilities, Environmental Planning (Clean Water Act), Natural Resources (Endangered Species Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, Essential Fish Habitat), Cultural Resources (National Historic Preservation Act) or Environmental Restoration programs.
- Estimate work effort and provide technical expertise in negotiations with Architectural-Engineering firms and environmental services contractors.
- Address contractor submittals and requests for information (RFIs) and review contractor work products.
Provide technical leadership/mentorship to junior engineers/scientists and review other environmental engineers/scientists work for regulatory compliance.
Expected salary range: $130,000 - $170,000
This position is contingent on contract modification.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
