Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

Actalent is seeking an Aviation Systems Engineer/Project Manager to support FAA NextGen concepts. This assignment supports exciting and challenging opportunities that lead improvement to the National Airspace Systems (NAS) and guide new development of emerging FAA NextGen concepts.

Day to Day:

  • Coordinating with FAA leadership, stakeholders, program management offices, and partners

  • Be the subject matter expert in aviation

  • Point of contact expert of integration into NAS

  • Integrate UAS into NAS

  • Analyze current project and uncover what is needed for next steps, considering the unknown and all possible outcomes to include the next round of work to the government

Hard Skills

  • Project Lead/Project Management experience

  • NAS (National Airspace System) FAA experience

  • Engineering experience

  • Client facing, client communication, client presentation

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Silver Spring, Maryland and some days remote.

Work Environment

Remote, 1-2 days on site based on FAA meetings (normally Tuesday or Wednesday). Working with a collaborative team with multiple different skillsets. Team consists of 25 employees.
