Here’s the Gist:

As a Manufacturing Technician, you'll oversee wafer production from inception to completion, working with engineers and stakeholders to achieve world class cycle times. You'll also monitor and record data at various points in production to help in identify and correct problem areas.

This posting is for a position that will directly support operations at the John Palmour Manufacturing Center for Silicon Carbide, our expansion site in Siler City, NC.

The person in this role will train at our Durham, NC headquarters initially. The person who fills this role will work a 12-hour day shift on a 3 on, 4 off, 4 on, 3 off schedule.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Operate equipment in various departments and processes in support of the manufacturing of Silicon Carbide (SiC).

  • Perform inspections, tests, minor repairs, troubleshooting, and operation of several types of process tools of a moderately complex nature.

  • Provide technical assistance to operations management to help resolve tool problems.

  • Correct improper operation of equipment and take proactive corrective action.

  • Write and update operating procedures as needed.
     

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • Excellent mechanical skills or aptitude

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and effective communication skills.

  • Ability to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift.

  • Willingness to wear full clean room attire (gowning).

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Ability to use a 5 ft. steel rolling safety ladder.

  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Excel and Outlook.   

  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

  • The ability and willingness to train others.

  • Previous Manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required.            
           

This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
