Hyatt Marketing Communications Manager in SIEM REAP, Cambodia

Description:

Park Hyatt Siem Reap is seeking a creative, dynamic, and strategic Marketing Communications Manager to be based on-property.You will be responsible for efficiently running the department in line with Hyatt's corporate strategies and brand standards, while developing and implementing the hotel’s marketing communications strategy. This includes overseeing advertising, promotions, public relations, and collateral to maximize the hotel’s exposure in local, national, and international markets. You will drive guest engagement, amplify the property’s luxury positioning. A passion for storytelling, luxury hospitality, and an appreciation for culture and heritage are essential, along with a proven track record of working with local media, influencers, and opinion leaders in Cambodia.The role will require collaboration across departments to ensure that the hotel remains the market leader in Siem Reap's luxury segment.

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Marketing and Branding Strategy : Develop and implement an integrated marketing and communications plan that aligns with Park Hyatt Siem Reap’s luxury positioning, brand pillars, and business goals. Ensure that the strategy reflects the hotel's unique combination of contemporary art deco and traditional Khmer principles.

  • Brand Management : Maintain the integrity of the Park Hyatt Siem Reap brand by ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and channels. Uphold the new positioning as the Oasis of Enrichment , driving efforts to promote the hotel’s enriching experiences and curated luxury.

  • Public Relations and Media Relations : Establish strong relationships with local and international media, influencers, bloggers, and content creators. Proactively seek out PR opportunities to position the hotel as the leading luxury property in Siem Reap.

  • Content Creation and Storytelling : Collaborate with the creative team to produce engaging content, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, and marketing collateral that align with the hotel’s core values of luxury, culture, and hospitality. Ensure all content reflects the historical significance of the property and Siem Reap’s cultural heritage.

  • Digital Marketing and Website Management : Lead the hotel’s digital marketing efforts, ensuring that the website is regularly updated, optimized for SEO, and reflects current promotions and offerings. Execute email marketing campaigns and digital advertising strategies to enhance the hotel’s online presence and drive bookings.

  • Social Media Strategy and Management : Develop and execute a social media strategy that tells the story of Park Hyatt Siem Reap, engaging followers with authentic and enriching content. Oversee the production of high-quality photos and videos for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms, maintaining a focus on luxury experiences, Khmer hospitality, and the hotel’s design and art.

  • Event Promotion and Communication : Collaborate with the F&B, operations, and guest experience teams to promote on-property events, including immersive dining experiences, wellness programs, art exhibitions, and cultural events. Create marketing campaigns that generate excitement and participation among guests and the community.

  • Influencer and Partnership Management : Identify and build partnerships with influencers, cultural insiders, and local creatives to enhance the hotel’s reputation and drive guest engagement. Leverage these partnerships to reach new audiences and promote the hotel’s unique offerings.

  • Reporting and Analytics : Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing regular reports on KPIs such as social media engagement, website traffic, and media coverage. Use insights from data to refine strategies and improve future campaigns.

  • Crisis Management and Communication : Handle sensitive communications in times of crisis, ensuring that the hotel’s reputation is protected and communication with guests and media is effective.

  • Budget Management : Oversee the marketing communications budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maximizing ROI for all marketing initiatives.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Marketing and Branding Expertise :

  • Strong understanding of luxury hospitality marketing, with a focus on cultural, heritage-driven storytelling that resonates with discerning travelers.

  • Ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that span PR, digital, social media, and traditional marketing channels.

  • Public Relations and Media Outreach :

  • Extensive experience building relationships with local, regional, and international media, securing high-profile coverage for luxury properties.

  • Proven track record of managing press events, media visits, and influencer collaborations.

  • Strong connections with media, influencers, and opinion leaders in Cambodia are a plus , with the ability to leverage these relationships to enhance the hotel's visibility and reputation.

  • Content Creation and Digital Marketing :

  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that reflect the hotel’s luxury positioning and cultural depth.

  • Proficiency in managing website content (CMS), email marketing, and digital advertising, with a strong understanding of SEO and performance marketing.

  • Photography and Videography :

  • Experience in overseeing high-quality photography and videography for marketing purposes, ensuring all visual content aligns with brand standards and effectively tells the hotel’s story.

  • Photography and videography skills are a plus , especially for capturing cultural events, design elements, and guest experiences on-site.

  • Social Media Strategy :

  • Expertise in managing and growing social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Experience in creating visually engaging, brand-aligned content.

  • Familiarity with influencer marketing and content partnerships, with a proven ability to manage relationships and deliver measurable results.

  • Event Management :

  • Experience promoting on-property events, coordinating with internal teams, and driving guest engagement for luxury hospitality events.

  • Ability to market cultural and culinary experiences, from private dining to immersive Apsara dinners and art exhibitions.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills :

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with external partners.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner, both internally and externally.

  • Analytical and Reporting Skills :

  • Ability to interpret data and analytics to make informed marketing decisions. Proficiency in tracking key performance metrics (KPIs) and using insights to optimize strategies.

  • Strong reporting skills, with the ability to present data in a way that informs future marketing efforts.

  • Adaptability and Creativity :

  • Adaptable to the evolving digital landscape and able to quickly respond to changes in market trends.

  • Creative thinker with a passion for cultural storytelling and a commitment to promoting Siem Reap’s heritage and luxury experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field.

  • 4-6 years of experience in marketing communications, preferably in luxury hospitality or travel.

  • Experience working in international markets or with culturally diverse audiences.

  • Strong knowledge of Siem Reap’s cultural heritage and Khmer hospitality traditions is a plus.

  • A proven track record of working with Cambodian media, influencers, and opinion leaders is a plus.

  • A passion for luxury travel, art, culture, and culinary experiences.
