Company DescriptionJob Description JOB DETAILS Base Pay : $22.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on experience Shift: Flexible Day Shift6AM-2PM, 7AM-3PM or 8AM-4PM Benefits start day one DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Effectively influence plant safety program and improvement efforts Prepare safety alerts and promote safety awareness Maintain all location safety records and track incident corrective actions to completion Develop and maintain location EHS website Assist facility efforts in fatality prevention, determining possible causes of fatalities and serious injuries (as applicable per location) Assist in incident investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective action development and follow-up for completion of action items Participate in Project EHS Reviews Manage location inspection and safety program Develop and maintain safety programs that are compliant with all applicable requirements Participate on safety teams and support plant safety SPAs as needed Prepare and develop safety training materials and programs and conduct training Maintain facility MSDS program Publish Daily Hours Worked report (as applicable) Compile monthly production data for plant metrics and gainsharing Performs other duties as assigned Maintain Confidentiality with personnel records and business decisions Qualifications Target 50% or more on the floor, daily Excellent interpersonal/people skills and confidential skills Strong desire to learn and willing to tackle new challenges Ability to prioritize and multitask Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Access preferred Broad understanding of plant operations and manufacturing processes Demonstrated competence in the application of safety and environmental and Human Resource policies, procedures and regulations Working knowledge of OSHA regulations or willingness to learn Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and basic computer skills are required Must be able to read, write and be able to perform basic math skills as job duties required Must possess common sense, positive attitude, organizational skills, good communication skills, and excellent attendance Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player and demonstrate a strong desire to get the job done Must be able to work quickly with product and able to lift 50 pounds maximum Must be able to handle the movement of products and the changing of priorities to satisfy customer demands Additional Information Site Address: 2405 Campbell Rd Sidney, OH 45365 Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?
