Advanced Composites Inc. Maintenance Technician in Sidney, Ohio

We are currently seeking Maintenance Technicians with 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance experience. The positions will be on a 12-hour rotating shift working from 5:00pm - 5:30am, with a three-day weekend every other week. The Maintenance Technician handles all equipment repairs, equipment PM\'s necessary to keep production equipment operating with minimal downtime.  The focus is on ensuring efficient and effective economics of operations, and achievement of maintenance department goals while projecting a positive and approachable attitude. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to diagnosse and repair 480V, 3-phase, 220V & 110V single-phase motor starters, contacts controls.
  • Electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot 480V, 3-phase motors, DC motors up to 700HP and small single-phase 110V & 220V motors replaced, if needed.
  • Aptitude to read and understand electrical schematics for equipment controls, determine equipment failures, and knowledge to make repairs to the electrical controls.
  • Skills to read PLC control logic and troubleshoot PLC controls at input and output levels.
  • Proficient at understanding, setting up, and troubleshooting raw material feeder systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, determine mechanical issues which may include the replacement of hydraulics/pneumatics valves, pumps, blowers, gearboxes and slide-gates.
  • Skills to use an Arch, Wire, and Cutting welding equipment to make minor repairs or fabrication of parts.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, environmental, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
  • Ability to speak effectively and relay information to management.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, decimals, etc.
