The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations (AAO) is seeking aBusiness DevelopmentManagerto work out of its state-of-the-art facility inSidney, NY.

The key responsibilities of theBusiness DevelopmentManagerinclude, but are not limited to:

  • Explore new technology and product opportunities with inputs from AAO’s product marketing, sales, and field applications engineer (FAE) groups.

  • Manage FAE activity and NPI execution.

  • Generate the new product development roadmap with direction from product teams.

  • Report new product forecast and execution metrics to the management team monthly.

  • Responsible for the FAE group – align customer engagement with product and sales roadmap strategy.

  • Manage the new product development roadmap along with reporting monthly at operations reviews.

  • First-time-build execution – The business development project manager reports into this role.

  • Coordination of travel and engagement strategy with sales and distribution.

  • NPI / XP CAPEX budget strategy guidance.

  • Owner of the new product dashboard – monthly reporting including KPI metrics by department with continuous improvement guidelines at monthly operations reviews.

Salary: $110,500 - $150,000

  • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY

  • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

The Person

The key skills and qualities of aBusiness Development Managerat Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • B.S. degree in engineering, business, marketing or equivalent professional experience

  • 5 plus years marketing or equivalent engineering/operations experience

  • Ability to work with internal and external cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams

  • Understanding of AAO product and manufacturing/supply chain capabilities

  • Travel 10-25%, must be willing to travel domestically and internationally

  • Ability to work in an office setting
