Insight Global is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor II to join one of our Energy Solutions clients in Shreveport, LA. The Operations Supervisor II will manage and provide technical direction to teams for the purpose of delivering safe, cost- effective, and quality design services across their region (OK, LA, TX, AR). Personnel responsibilities include such efforts as mentoring, training, performance appraisals, compensation reviews, time entry reviews, employee recruiting, succession planning and adherence to standards of conduct. May support more senior management in local discussions between internal stakeholders and the client at the local, operational level. In this role, the incumbent will represent the best interest of the company by communicating with the client, with the employees, and with internal management on pertinent issues.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

 1) Displaying effective leadership skills in motivating, rewarding, and assisting individuals through the use of innovative techniques and effective management systems to a team of 50 direct and indirect reports.

 2) Ensuring that individuals have the training, tools, personal equipment, work environment, and technical support to optimize their performance and achieve desired results.

 3) Providing individuals with honest and constructive feedback, assistance in setting priorities, and opportunities for personal and professional development.

 4) Providing technical direction to project teams on complex multi- disciplined projects.

 5) Developing and maintaining design standards, work practices, and systems.

 6) Maintaining knowledge of the technical industry codes, standards, and best practices.

 7) Developing and maintaining knowledge of the current and future enablers, systems, and applications available in the industry to ensure continuous improvement.

 8) Exhibit the highest day to day standards and demonstrate the highest level of business ethics and consistently adheres to and promotes key values and principles in all transactions.

 9) Ensure that all staffing and utilization goals are met by effective planning, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.

 10) Communicates with internal employees under their area of responsibility to ensure that all are productive, making reasonable progress in their classifications, and assists in addressing and bringing forth any employee concerns to management.

 11) Directs project workflow. Regularly communicate to stakeholders on issues, activities, and accomplishments.

 12) Provide formal employee appraisals for assigned employees within area of responsibility. Will be responsible for approving all employee timesheets in their respective area, ensuring accuracy and submission in a timely manner.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  * 4 years of project management experience within the distribution/electric utility industry.

  * Previous experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.

  * Associates degree or higher in an engineering discipline.

  * Willingness to travel in respective region 20% of the time. Preferred Requirements:

  * PMP certification.

  * Professional Engineer (PE) license. null
