The Northwest Louisiana Human Services District was formed to provide local governance and direction for behavioral health and developmental disability services for individuals residing in the nine parishes of Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine and Webster.
This position is with the NW LA Human Service District's Shreveport Behavioral Health Clinic located at 1310 N Hearne Ave. Shreveport, LA 71107.
The incumbent serves as the main medical records custodian for the Shreveport clinic. This position requires in-depth knowledge of LDH policies and procedures for record retention as well as HIPAA regulations and guidelines. Provides a wide range of clerical duties that requires independent judgment and knowledge of District and Behavioral Health policies, procedures, rules and regulations. . Assists Administrative Supervisor as needed. Serves as backup to the front desk receptionist and scheduling specialist as needed.

Pay Ranges -
Administrative Coordinator 1 - $10.00/hour - $18.00/hour
Administrative Coordinator 2 - $11.45/hour - $20.61/hour
Administrative Coordinator 3 - $13.11/hour - $23.59/hour
**Note regarding the pay range: The maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire .

Examples of Work
NOTE: Positions allocated at this level tend to focus on several examples of work as listed below:
Serves as the main medical records custodian for the clinic.
Provides a wide range of clerical duties that requires independent judgment.
Organize and manage clients health information ensuring quality, accuracy, and accessibility the Electronic Health Record.
Maintains the active and inactive clinical records, including filing and retrieving client files, lab reports, progress notes ad other relevant documentation.
Prepares records subpoenaed for court.
Process requests for medical records ensuring HIPAA compliant.
Receives requests from and issues supplies to clinic staff. Maintains an inventory of supplies for clinical staff.
Serves as back-up for the front desk receptionist and scheduling specialist.
Processes routine paperwork and/or enters data into a department log or database in the servicing of a client.
Prepares, indexes, and scans documents into imaging system; may ensure quality of scanned images
Prepares requisitions for the purchase of supplies; may involve entering information into an automated system.
Receives, stores, and distributes supplies; maintains inventory of such.
Performs related duties as assigned.
