Deluxe Corporation Executive Director, Supplier Optimization and Governance in Shoreview, Minnesota

Req ID: 202097WD The Executive Director, Supplier Optimization and Governance is responsible for active supplier relationships throughout Deluxe and overseeing programs to make them as effective as possible. The leader manages a team of supplier managers responsible for day-to-day supplier performance and relationship management, supplier development and expansion and supplier risk management. Key aspects of this role is to ensure stable, results-oriented, growth-minded and quality supplier oversight that delivers precise products and services at the right time for the right price using internal and external forces to optimize purchasing and service oversight. The leader will provide strong leadership in managing the team towards creating continuous improvement, focus on driving supplier development, ensure all regulatory obligations are accurately managed and delivering against identified savings targets. Accountabilities: Build, develop, and manage a team of Supplier Optimization Managers by leading them with best practices in all aspects of supplier relationship management and performance Build and maintain all supplier management processes with a focus on strategies for optimization of spend and service, service level management programs, supplier health & financial viability, supplier pricing & planning and supplier quality management. Oversee analysis of qualitative and quantitative supplier characteristics, including supplier capabilities, supplier goals and objectives, risk profile, growth potential and supplier's financial position for requisite categories Create a focus on supplier develop leveraging programs to achieve corporate supplier diversity objectives and a 360 partner programs. Drive corporate compliance to the preferred-supplier program via end-user change management and communications programs Oversee and manage supplier monitoring and risk processes in conjunction with regulatory requirements, standard reporting and processes required by Compliance. Create active supplier cost save targets, monitor impact of market changes, and continuous improvement strategies and plans. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, Project Management, IT or a related field 8 years of procurement or supply chain experience Preferred Qualifications: Master's in Business, Supply Chain, Project Management, IT or a related field 10 years of procurement or supply chain experience 5 years of management experience Environmental Social Governance (ESC) & Ethics: Expertise in creating and operating Social Accountability & Diversity programs. Cost & Price Management: Expert in managing price and cost savings for Global Procurement organizations. Financial Analysis: Experience analyzing financial data, benchmarking metrics, and supplier data to develop and execute on supply chain strategy. Logistics Management: Experience ensuring the execution of delivery and transportation of goods and services for an organization Negotiation: Expert in negotiations with strong planning and execution with both suppliers and business leaders. Expertise in reviewing personal and team negotiation performance and influencing negotiation outcomes. Quality Management: Experience defining and monitoring product and service quality standards from suppliers to customers, with an eye on the cost of quality and its impact on the business. Risk & Compliance: Expertise in identifying, analyzing and assessing supplier and business risk throughout the global supply chain Sourcing: Extensive experience partnering with business leaders to segment and manage supplier relationships.
