Keen Transport, Inc. Heavy Equipment Processor in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania

Will train the right candidate! Previous experience in the heavy equipment or construction and/or related field beneficial, but not necessary

Shift: M-F 7:30 am - 4 pm

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Safely drive, Load and unload heavy equipment machines (backhoes, bulldozers, skid steer loaders, trenchers, etc.) and parts to/from trailers using light and/or heavy forklift for the purpose of receiving or shipment from the facility.
  • Operate various heavy construction and mining equipment to accomplish receiving and shipping responsibilities.
  • Performs preventative maintenance such as general equipment cleaning, checking fluid levels, and changing implements or attachments
  • Operate hand tools regularly used in loading or yard activity such as banding machines, or other commonly used hand tools
  • Refueling of equipment, gasoline, and diesel, checking of coolant and hydraulic levels
  • Complete Q/A forms & other forms on mobile electronic devices

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Must have valid Driver's License
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills with internal and external customers
  • Basic proficiency with smart phones and tablets
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, pay attention to detail, and follow safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 50 pounds, including bulky objects; repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment required
  • Ability to work outside in all reasonable weather conditions, including heat, cold, dampness and humidity. Outside %100 of the time
  • Ability to work overtime as requested 
  • Diligent attention to safety and Provide excellent customer service to all
  • Ability to pass a post offer background check and drug screen as condition of hire
  • Bilingual a plus
