The Position
As a member of the IT team focused on Supply Chain and based in Japan, you are responsible for both supporting current operations as well as building new solutions locally in Japan and globally in collaboration with colleagues worldwide.
You will be involved in both business and technology discussions to share your views on ways to optimize our way of working while ensuring operational stability, sustainability, and compliance.

Responsibilities
Business Consultancy
Develop deep understanding of local business environment and business needs.
Actively partner with others to drive standardization, global solutions, and best practices.
Build relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted technology advisor.
Technology Expertise
Service/Solution Development (design, architecture, implementation etc.)
System Support (maintenance, optimization, 3 rd level support)
Monitor industry trends and best practices and actively participate in global technology discussions as an SME.
Collaboration
Work across cultures, geographies, functions, and organization levels.
Champion agile methods and efficiency.
Act as a change agent through collaboration and inclusion.
Strong customer focus.
Management & Mentoring
Manage projects.
Steer external partners/vendors.

Requirements
5+ years of application support experience in plant/logistics area.
Solid experience in SAP WM/MM or EWM, including business process & system design/configuration.
Strong project management and vendor management skills.
Keen interest in current and emerging technologies.
Demonstrates rapid and continuous learning. Comfortable with ambiguity.
Has the drive to achieve. Pursues initiatives with energy and persistence even in the face of challenges. Confident to try things that have not been done before.
Has the emotional intelligence and adaptability to thrive in any environment.
Familiarity with the Japanese market, culture, and business practices.
Cross-cultural competency paired with fluent language skills in Japanese and English.

- Experience working in regulated environment.
Location
- The primary location is Tokyo or Yamagata, to be decided in discussion. Work hours are flexible. Work can be done both on-site and remote based on the subject matter and alignment with the supervisor.
