Emerson Plant Electrician - 2nd Shift in Sherman, Texas

Emerson is currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician to work in our Sherman, TX facility. This is a second-shift position responsible installing and maintaining plant equipment and for performing electrical work on plant systems.

  • Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:00PM, Monday-Friday

. In this Role Your Responsibilities will Be:

  • Responsible for all electrical services at Emerson- Sherman.

  • Fully plans and installs 120/240/480-volt electrical services which conform to city and NEC codes as required to ensure the safety of all employees and equipment.

  • Responsible for other maintenance duties such as LAN installations, phone lines, and the repair of electrical/mechanical devices including but not limited to: Production machines, Assembly test equipment, Equipment assigned to the building such as boilers, air compressors, and HVAC systems.

  • Obtain a mobile equipment license (company course) to operate all mobile equipment within the facility.

  • Must work closely with Non-Product Buyer and factory technicians as required.

  • Must follow all safety and quality policies and procedures.

Who You Are:

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Proof of active journeyman’s or master’s electrical license for Grayson County.

  • Two (2) years hands-on experience installing 120/240/480 voltage in manufacturing or industrial facility with knowledge of pertinent OSHA regulations.

  • Hands-on working knowledge in the following areas: HVAC systems; Telecommunications; Electrical Circuits; Mechanical Systems; Air Compressors & Hydraulics; PLC basics; test equipment (i.e. megameters, digital multimeters, mechanical gauges); interpreting maintenance prints and electrical schematics.

  • Flexibility in work hours; availability to work occasional to frequent overtime.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart :

  • Two-year technical degree focused on the repair of electrical, mechanical, telecommunications or network installations.
