Distribution Center Supervisor 2nd Shift

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite at Sheridan, AR

Opportunity

2nd Shift Monday-Thursday 3:00 PM-5:00 AM

Supervise the Shipping Operation within the AFO Distribution Center in Sheridan, Arkansas including logistical support to the Arkansas Faucet Operations (AFO), fulfilling all end customer demand and outbound material support to all North American plant locations served by the Sheridan Enterprise.

  • Assist in the development of short- and long-range financial plans, meeting finite inventory control objectives, plant capital and human resource needs.

  • Responsible for driving Lean and Continuous Improvement activities within Shipping, Traffic, External Distribution Channels, Logisitcs and Inventory of both purchased and AFO-manufactured finished goods.

  • Partner with the Supervisor – Receiving, AFO to ensure consistent best practices are maintained for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale objectives while driving the policies and procedures necessary to continually improve business processes to provide the AFO DC with a competitive edge in service to our customers. This will include key interaction with Marketing, Sales, AFO production operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, Materials and our overall Global Faucets Supply Chain team.

  • To support all aspects of KSMS Tier III and IV achievement goals and objectives with resources necessary to complete the remaining levels.The individual is to ensure all areas they support implementation of all KSMS initiatives. The individual needs to ensure that their areas of responsibility is operating under the absolute safest working environment for its associates and their activities at all times.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Drive AFO Distribution and Logistics performance metrics including on-time delivery & quality.Work with AFO, WFO, S&OP, Production, and Materials to drive continuous improvement.

  • Analyze and determine root cause for OS&D. Drive preventative action implementation to address root cause.

  • Responsible for the execution of key business objectives and other tasks as assigned by the Manager, Materials & Distribution – AFO.

  • Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through effective communications and responsiveness to customer service requirements and changes.

  • Drive the ADKAR model for all business changes to enhance associate engagement and accountability.

  • Focus on the development of key personnel to maintain continued organizational strength and succession.Establish goals and standards of performance for subordinates, apprise them of their progress, and advise them regarding professional skills development. Aid the DC associates to further their career with a focus on individual and team business objectives.

  • Oversee the inspection, continuous improvement and sustainability of all areas of the warehouse to ensure safe work practices.

  • Ensure all governmental regulatory agencies and Kohler Co. processes and procedures are being followed pertaining to the shipping and receiving of hazardous waste materials, and the records of transactions are recorded on proper Material Safety Data Sheets in coordination with the AFO EHS team.

  • Ensure all personnel are conducting daily inspection and recording of records on all forklift, scissor-lift, cherry-picker, and battery charging equipment used in the warehouse.

  • Ensure all safety regulations are being followed in regards to policies, for example; PPE, safety vests, harnesses, lock dock procedures, and mechanical equipment.

Skills/Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED + minimum 6-10 years of operations, materials, direct shipping, distribution, and logistics experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, with an emphasis in Business, Operations Management or Supply Chain, with additional work experience in distribution and logistics planning in a high volume commercial environment.

  • Experience in inventory management, ERP, MRP and Kanban systems.

  • High proficiency in use of enterprise planning and analytical tools including SAP & Microsoft Excel.

The salary range for this position is $66,300 - $83,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
