AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. You will leverage leading technologies such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence/generative AI to help customers in the financial service industry (including banking, securities, insurance, asset management, wealth management, payments, Internet Finance, FinTech, etc.) in achieving technological and business transformation as well as global development.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Understand the business and technical requirements of financial service industry customers.

  2. Design solutions based on cloud products, open-source software, and partner products according to customer needs.

  3. Conduct hands-on validation of the designed solutions and assist customers in completing Proof of Concept (POC).

  4. Present solutions and conduct demonstrations to customers.

  5. Assist customers with system deployment and continuous operations, continuously help customers optimize cloud architecture and costs, and enhance the security and resilience of cloud architecture.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

  • Knowledge of cloud architecture

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify the value cloud computing brings to customers.

  • Excellent technical proficiency, capable of developing practical cloud migration strategies and solutions, and delving into technical details.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in technical architecture design and optimization, as well as enterprise customer service (preferably in the financial service industry).

  • Familiarity with two or more common technology domains, such as virtualization, storage, databases, networking, security, big data, machine learning, containers, DevOps, CI/CD, microservices architecture.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Node.js, Golang, Rust, etc.

  • Experience in building workloads related to the financial industry, such as securities trading systems, quantitative factor mining, quantitative backtesting, payment gateways.

  • Background in software development is preferred.

  • Familiarity with common ISVs in the financial service industry is preferred.

  • Financial industry certifications (such as CFA, FRM) are preferred.
