Temporary Office Clerk

We are looking for a Temporary Office Clerk to help with the organization and administrative functions of the company. The ideal candidate will be hard-working and able to undertake a variety of office support tasks. The main focus of this seasonal assignment will be helping to create an efficient document retention system. This person must be comfortable working with organizing legal documents, which will require filing, scanning, and labeling of documents. The individual will possess a high degree of attention to detail and discretion, as well as be able to incorporate new and effective ways to improve work processes. This temporary position is part-time, and will require 20 - 25 work hours per week. In total, this seasonal assignment should require 80 to 100 hours to complete. The daily hours are flexible, but will require the work will be conducted on-site in our Shelton facility between Monday and Friday each week.


  • Organize patent documents to ensure compliance with policy and procedures

  • Create an up-to-date filing system maintained in both physical and digital record-keeping systems

  • Update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information

  • Establish an improved system of indexing records to retrieve documents more efficiently

  • Create and maintain a list of records for disposal in compliance with policies and procedures


  • Must possess strong organizational skills for project work involving filing, scanning, labelling, etc.

  • P roficiency in MS Office and Adobe; one year of experience in each application preferred

  • Prior experience with Excel is preferred

  • Must be diligent and hard-working

  • Very detail-oriented and must maintain a high level of discretion with sensitive documents
