Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Shelton, Connecticut

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to improve production efficiency and product quality.

  • Perform root cause analysis and problem-solving for manufacturing challenges, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to ensure manufacturability and timely completion of projects.

  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to design tools, fixtures, and layouts for production.

  • Conduct time and motion studies to optimize production workflows and reduce waste.

  • Monitor production metrics and performance, identifying areas for continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on manufacturability, cost, and quality considerations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

  • years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in (specific industry, if applicable).

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality management systems.

  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
