Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veteran Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to veterans, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This role requires a deep understanding of the challenges veterans face and a commitment to offering empathetic and respectful care. Responsibilities: * Provide personalized care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. * Perform Light housekeeping tasks * Administer medications and monitor health conditions following the documented plan of care. * Remind clients to take their medication. * Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and respectful environment. * Assist with transportation to medical appointments and other outings. * Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the veteran’s condition to family and Director of Nursing. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans. * Ensure a safe and clean-living environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Qualifications: * Previous experience in care-giving or a related field is preferred. * Experience with clients prone to having seizures * Understanding and sensitivity to the unique needs of veterans. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. * CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). * High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in care-giving is a plus.
