OLD WISCONSIN SAUSAGE CO SQF Coordinator in SHEBOYGAN, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Position Summary: To effectively perform all the required duties of the SQF Coordinator in an accurate, thorough and safe manner as outline per the Old Wisconsin Sausage job description. SQF Coordinator has the authority to take action. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and monitor key aspects of the Safe Quality Foods including but not limited to: Approved Supplier Certification and Register Training Register and requirements Glass Registers and requirements Contract Service Register and requirements Raw Materials Register Packaging Materials Register Contractor Visitor Register Chemical Registers Label Register Oversee the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF System. Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF System. Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF System. Conduct internal audits for food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures, including the SQF Food Safety and Quality Codes. Prepare and present programs to maintain training of all plant employees in policies and programs such as GMP\'s, HACCP, SSOPs, and other pre-requisite programs. Serve as primary co-lead during 3rd party audits (SQF, GFCO, DATCP) and customer audits. Train Quality Assurance and other plant personnel to perform in-plant process inspections and internal audits as required by established plant auditing program. Maintain a working knowledge of government, industry, and SQF codes and standards. Provide detailed directions for scheduling and completion of internal facility audits. Interpret quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in the organization. Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with customer complaint trending and resolution. Keep management abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation. Take responsibility in your work area to produce a safe and quality food product. Report all food safety related problems to your supervisor, manager, or to Quality Assurance. Department to initiate immediate action. Establish an active role in plant quality improvement within the organization. Assist R&D with administrative duties (export application, generic label approvals, label review, first run validations). Must be able to inspect product using sensory abilities.
