Actalent Quality Control Lab Technician in Sharonville, Ohio

Job Title: Quality Control Lab Technician

Job Description:

The Quality Control Lab Technician ensures that all production batches and finished products meet quality control standards. This role involves testing, recording observations, and ensuring compliance with internal SOPs, FDA, and GMP requirements. The technician will also maintain laboratory equipment, assist with raw material inspections, and contribute to environmental monitoring and special analytical projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Test and adjust production batches as per formula and SOP; communicate and document adjustments.

  • Perform testing on finished products, stability, and validation samples using required methods.

  • Conduct instrumental analyses (HPLC, GC, TOC).

  • Complete all documentation related to batch approval and release.

  • Analyze data trends and update SOPs and microbiological methods.

  • Approve tankers for loading/unloading and record testing results.

  • Address customer complaints by testing and retesting returned products.

  • Maintain QC area cleanliness and stock necessary materials.

  • Assist with environmental monitoring and sample testing.

  • Utilize computer programs for administrative tasks such as forms, charts, and logs.

  • Ensure compliance with current GMP standards.

  • Communicate with other shifts on microbiological testing and critical issues.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, including special analytical projects and validations.

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science field.

  • Familiarity with HPLC, GC, and other lab equipment.

  • Knowledge of GMPs in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with laboratory techniques (wet chemistry, titration, pH testing).

  • Proficient in data analysis and entry, quality control processes, and laboratory practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00
