Job Summary

As a Trade Compliance Operation Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will have the unique opportunity to support compliance reviewing on Chemistry and Life Science products. In this role, you will play an important role in ensuring that all relevant regulatory requirements are identified for new product initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on new product launch to identify compliance with regulatory requirements. Your exceptional attention to detail and thorough understanding of regulatory standards will ensure accurate compliance.

  • Settle Customs HTS classification. Your expertise will allow you to accurately settle classification.

  • Support the process of import regulatory certificate application for biological products, chemical reagents. Your validated ability to navigate regulatory processes will ensure successful implementation.

  • Support dangerous goods, and hazardous chemical compliance handling.

  • Collaborate with various Chinese government agencies to ensure import processes and compliance. Your excellent coordination skills will facilitate compliance risk.

  • Support the Import/Export operation team for Customs clearance and customs inspection operations. Your leadership and expertise will ensure efficient and accurate Customs clearance. Your work with government agencies and alignment to regulations will smoothly facilitate import processes.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with customs clearance. Your risk mitigation will proactively address potential issues.

  • Prepare Customs reviews, analyze regulatory changes, conduct impact assessments, and compile trade metrics. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will provide valuable insights and ensure compliance.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to address import and export challenges. Your collaboration with partners will facilitate effective problem-solving and ensure trade compliance.

  • Stay informed about the latest trade compliance laws and regulations. Your dedication to staying up-to-date will ensure alignment to current regulations.

  • Evaluate customer requirements and cross-border trade procedures. Your identification of customer needs in trade procedures will improve customer satisfaction.

  • Suggest improved trade compliance solutions and provide valuable mentorship and training to customers. Your expertise and guidance will support customers in navigating trade compliance requirements.

  • Handle ad-hoc work, projects, tasks, or jobs assigned by the company. Your flexibility and adaptability will enable you to complete work you're doing.

Qualifications

  • Confirmed experience in importing and exporting chemical and reagent products.

  • Accurate knowledge of HTS classification.

  • Validated knowledge of Customs procedures.

  • Familiarity with import regulations for biological and chemical reagents.

  • Ability to independently operate foreign trade business.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Candidates with an undergraduate degree in synthesis chemistry, biology, or international trade are preferred, although equivalent experience will also be considered.

  • Proficient in Office, AI tools and Digitalization.

  • English level 6 or above. Your English skills will enable effective communication with individuals from different countries.
