About the role

  • Our Environment/Remediation/Sustainability APAC team, composed of 1 people, is integrated in the Globe HSER department and focuses on Hygiene, Safety, Environment and Remediation Department in collaboration with other industrial function.

  • As a Sustainable Environment Expert, you will work on Environment/Remediation/Sustainability APAC, to support HSE APAC. You will get the opportunity to contribute to Environment/Remediation/Sustainability APAC and have a positive impact on all Solvay APAC sites.

  • You will be accountable for:

  • Support our sites and businesses to maintain environmental compliance,

  • Provide APAC regulatory watch on all environmental directives and regulations, international Conventions (Basel, Rotterdam, Stockholm) and Green Deal.

  • Raise environmental awareness and a culture of sustainability on the sites by supporting all programs and initiatives to reduce waste generation, water intake and emissions of substances of concern,

  • Analyze environmental and manufacturing data with strong focus on water, waste and emissions in air / water in order to propose improvement project,

  • Design and implement agile projects leading to water savings, waste valorization and/or air/water emissions reductions.

  • Audit and support regarding Solvay procedures

  • Challenge and support in environmental chapter of investments

  • "Design and implement..." also for upgrading to new regulations

  • We offer a fixed contract based on hybrid working mode.

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in master.

  • Relevant work experience in 8 years of experience Ideally first successful experience in connection with sustainable development and environment management,

  • Competencies:

  • Environment / Sustainability improvement project experience,

  • Troubleshooting skills for site waste treatment,

  • Understanding of JV culture,

  • Practice about water conservation including CTW, membrane, IEX etc.

  • Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing)

  • Good communication skills

  • Collaborative mindset

  • Scientific rigor and analytical thinking

  • Creative problem solving

  • Good team work and influence skills

  • Digital skills (data management and analysis)
